Genealogy
This member of the Fujiwara clan was a son of Morosuke. His mother was Fujiwara no Moriko (藤原 盛子), daughter of Fujiwara no Tsunekuni.
Kaneie had four brothers: Kanemichi, Kinsue, Koretada, and Tamemitsu.
His daughters were mothers of Ichijō and Sanjō.
