Community Awards
For the eighth year in a row, Fremont Bank has been honored as one of The Top 65 Corporate Philanthropists in the Greater Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times at its Annual Corporate Philanthropy Summit. The list is based on total cash contributions paid by companies to Bay Area nonprofits.
Also, Fremont Bank has received six Levi Strauss & Co. Community Commitment Awards, which is given each year by the San Francisco Business Times to companies for giving more than 1% of their pre-tax income to charitable causes. One percent of pre-tax profits is considered the national benchmark for charitable giving best practices.

Famous quotes containing the word community:
“As blacks, we need not be afraid that encouraging moral development, a conscience and guilt will prevent social action. Black children without the ability to feel a normal amount of guilt will victimize their parents, relatives and community first. They are unlikely to be involved in social action to improve the black community. Their self-centered personalities will cause them to look out for themselves without concern for others, black or white.”
—James P. Comer (20th century)
