Fred Thiel

Fred Thiel is a entrepreneur of Swedish descent. Fred was born in France and educated in the U.S. and UK before returning to Sweden to write software for banks. He has also lived in Venezuela and as a result, speaks French, Swedish and Spanish fluently. Over the course of his career, he has been involved with hardware and software design, sales, marketing, executive management and corporate development. He has been active in managing or establishing businesses in Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and South America.

Fred now lives in Southern California and has served as the CEO of Lantronix (Nasdaq LTRX) and GameSpy (acquired by IGN). Fred is a serial entrepreneur, and active managing partner in the private equity firm Triton Pacific Capital Partners, which focuses on lower mid-market entrepreneurial software, healthcare services and business to business services companies in North America.

Fred is a member of the board of directors of Triton portfolio companies AssetPoint, Custom Credit Systems, DB Technology, Vayan Marketing Group, MyPrint as well as non-Triton groups including B&B Technology, OCTANe, and also founder of a number of Web 2.0 companies including Powershore, Career Inbox, TimeIsMoney.net, and Traffic Spike.
