Frederick J. Page

Page High School was named after Frederick J. Page (1863-1944), Superintendent of Williamson County Schools for 42 years (1899-1941) who was instrumental in the system's expansion from 8 grades to 12 grades in the early 1900s. Prior to his tenure as superintendent the Williamson County native, known as a great educational scholar and author, served as the principal of Clarksville High School in Clarksville, Tennessee and the principal of College Grove Preparatory School in College Grove, Tennessee. Frederick Page's ancestors came to Williamson County in the early 1800s. His grandparents married there on February 5, 1817 and his grandmother Nancy Armstrong is buried in Franklin, TN.

It is difficult to read. The page is dark.
Yet he knows what it is that he expects.

Or a glass that is empty when he looks.
