Frederick Denard Baxter (born June 14, 1971 in Brundidge, Alabama) is a former professional American football tight end who played 11 years in the National Football League for the New York Jets, the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots. Baxter played football collegiately at Auburn University and was selected by the Jets in the 5th round of the 1993 NFL Draft.
Baxter currently owns and runs the Fred Baxter Foundation, a foundation that supports churches in Alabama and South Jersey.
Fred resides in South Jersey with his wife. They attend Our Lady of Good Counsel (catholic church).
