The Frank M. Gibson Trophy is a Canadian Football League trophy, given to the most outstanding rookie in the East Division. Each team from the East Division nominates a candidate from which a winner is chosen, and either this winner or the winner of the Jackie Parker Trophy will receive the Canadian Football League Most Outstanding Rookie Award.
Before 1973, the Gruen Trophy was originally awarded to the East's Most Outstanding Canadian Rookie before being retired.
In 1995, as part of the failed American expansion, the Gibson Trophy was given to the most outstanding rookie in the South Division.

Famous quotes containing the words frank and/or gibson:
“The average Ph.D. thesis is nothing but a transference of bones from one graveyard to another.”
—J. Frank Dobie (18881964)
“It seemed a long way from 143rd Street. Shaking hands with the Queen of England was a long way from being forced to sit in the colored section of the bus going into downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. Dancing with the Duke of Devonshire was a long way from not being allowed to bowl in Jefferson City, Missouri, because the white customers complained about it.”
—Althea Gibson (b. 1927)
