Famous quotes containing the words entertainment and and/or charity:

Huck was always willing to take a hand in any enterprise that offered entertainment and required no capital, for he had a troublesome superabundance of that sort of time which is not money.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

Our inherent human charity and our religious beliefs will be taxed to the limit. No poor, rural, weak, or black person should ever have to bear the additional burden of being deprived of the opportunity of an education, a job, or simple justice.
Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)
