Frank Costa (American Football)

Frank Costa (born September 8, 1972) is a former American football quarterback for the University of Miami from 1991 to 1994. He played several sports at Saint Joseph's Preparatory School. When he graduated from high school, he held virtually every passing record in the city's history including completions in a game, season, and career, as well as yards passing in a season and career, and touchdowns in a season and career. He was named player of the decade for the 1980s.

After being widely recruited, he decided to attend college at The University of Miami (FL). Costa was one of the more consistent players among his inexperienced team. Costa finished his college career with a record of 19-3 as a starter, including a memorable win against top-ranked rival Florida State on October 8, 1994 .
