- A Canadian Expedition by Parks Canada archaeologists attempted to locate Terror and Erebus in the summer of 2012, but failed to find any sign of the ships.They are mapping the entire region and this will continue again in 2013. This is an ongoing search by the authorities to locate the position of the ships.
