Fox Sports Oklahoma

Fox Sports Oklahoma is a regional sports network that airs coverage of sports teams in Oklahoma. It launched on October 29, 2008 as a spinoff of Fox Sports Southwest, with the first game of the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder. Besides the Thunder, it also features coverage of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Fox Sports Oklahoma also has exclusive broadcast rights to Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association state championships. Fox Sports Oklahoma has broadcast Class A-6A Championship games in football and periodically runs OSSAA Championship Spotlight which highlights various high school sports depending on the time of year.

Famous quotes containing the words fox, sports and/or oklahoma:

The lily in splendor, the vine in her grace,
The fox in the forest, all had their desire,
As then I had mine, in the place that was happy and poor.
    Ruth Pitter (b. 1897)

...I didn’t come to this with any particular cachet. I was just a person who grew up in the United States. And when I looked around at the people who were sportscasters, I thought they were just people who grew up in the United States, too. So I thought, Why can’t a woman do it? I just assumed everyone else would think it was a swell idea.
Gayle Gardner, U.S. sports reporter. As quoted in Sports Illustrated, p. 85 (June 17, 1991)

I know only one person who ever crossed the ocean without feeling it, either spiritually or physically.... he went from Oklahoma to France and back again ... without ever getting off dry land. He remembers several places I remember too, and several French words, but he says firmly, “We must of went different ways. I don’t rightly recollect no water, ever.”
    M.F.K. Fisher (1908–1992)
