Vision Seminar Series

The Foundation Fighting Blindness' Vision Seminar Series provides a supportive learning environment for people living with macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and other inherited retinal degenerative diseases. Held around the country, each half-day, free seminar offers patients a forum to hear from prominent doctors and scientists about the latest retinal degenerative disease research, new treatments, therapies, and clinical trials. Vision Seminars not only give affected individuals and their families critical information about research and treatments, but they also provide the hope necessary to cope with these debilitating diseases.

Famous quotes containing the words vision, seminar and/or series:

To stroll is a science, it is the gastronomy of the eye. To walk is to vegetate, to stroll is to live.... To stroll is to enjoy, it is to assume a mind-set, it is to admire the sublime pictures of unhappiness, of love, of joy, of graceful or grotesque portraits; it is to plunge one’s vision to the depths of a thousand existences: young, it is to desire everything; old, it is to live the life of the young, to marry their passions.
    HonorĂ© De Balzac (1799–1850)

A child of three cannot raise its chubby fist to its mouth to remove a piece of carpet which it is through eating, without being made the subject of a psychological seminar of child-welfare experts, and written up, along with five hundred other children of three who have put their hands to their mouths for the same reason.
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)

Through a series of gradual power losses, the modern parent is in danger of losing sight of her own child, as well as her own vision and style. It’s a very big price to pay emotionally. Too bad it’s often accompanied by an equally huge price financially.
    Sonia Taitz (20th century)
