Forwarder - Load Capacity

Load Capacity

Forwarders are commonly categorised on their load carrying capabilities. The smallest are trailers designed for towing behind all-terrain vehicles which can carry around 250 kg to 500 kg. Agricultural self loading trailers designed to be towed by farm tractors can handle load weights up to around 4 tonnes. Light weight purpose-built machines utilised in commercial logging and thinning operations can handle payloads of up to 8 tonnes. Medium sized forwarders used in clearfells carry between 12 and 14 tonnes with the largest class handling up to 20 tonnes.

Famous quotes containing the words load and/or capacity:

The only human beings I have thoroughly admired and respected in the world have been those who carried the load of the world with a smile, and who, in the face of anxieties that would have knocked me clean out, never showed a tremor. Such men and women end by owning us, soul and body, and our allegiance can never be shaken. We are only too glad to be owned. Religion is nothing but this.
    Henry Brooks Adams (1838–1918)

Taste is nothing but an enlarged capacity for receiving pleasure from works of imagination.
    William Hazlitt (1778–1830)
