Business
What was once a single page on the back of the "B" section, has turned into a four-page spread in the second "A" section. Each day is filled with local content, wire content and a small sampling of local stocks. The section features Katy Piotrowski's "On the job' column for those looking to find or change jobs or careers, "Small business" by syndicated columnist Rhonda Abrams and WorkBytes, a workplace column for Generation X written alternately by Dawn Sagario and Larry Ballard, both of The Des Moines Register.

Famous quotes containing the word business:
“Every American travelling in England gets his own individual sport out of the toy passenger and freight trains and the tiny locomotives, with their faint, indignant, tiny whistle. Especially in western England one wonders how the business of a nation can possibly be carried on by means so insufficient.”
—Willa Cather (18761947)
“Your business is not to catch men with show,
With homage to the perishable clay,
But lift them over it, ignore it all,
Make them forget theres such a thing as flesh.
Your business is to paint the souls of men”
—Robert Browning (18121889)
“What if all the forces of society were bent upon developing [poor] children? What if societys business were making people instead of profits? How much of their creative beauty of spirit would remain unquenched through the years? How much of this responsiveness would follow them through life?”
—Mary Heaton Vorse (18741966)
