Florida State Road 844

State Road 844, locally known as the Northeast 14th Street Causeway, is a 0.90-mile-long (1.45 km), east–west street crossing the Intracoastal Waterway and connecting U.S. Route 1 and State Road A1A in Pompano Beach, Florida. One of the shortest highways numbered by the Florida Department of Transportation, State Road 844 is one of only two east–west Florida State Roads in South Florida that do not intersect, pass over, or pass under an expressway. The other is State Road 9336, which provides a primary access into Everglades National Park in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
