At this intersection is the Renaissance Commons, a shopping center and restaurant locale built on the former site of a Motorola plant. Famous quotes containing the words palm, beach, county and/or road:

To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
    And eternity in an hour.
    William Blake (1757–1827)

Across the lonely beach we flit,
    One little sandpiper and I;
And fast I gather, bit by bit,
The scattered driftwood, bleached and dry.
The wild waves reach their hands for it,
The wild wind raves, the tide runs high,
As up and down the beach we flit—
    One little sandpiper and I.
    Celia Thaxter (”Laighton”)

    Jack: A politician, huh?
Editor: Oh, county treasurer or something like that.
Jack: What’s so special about him?
Editor: They say he’s an honest man.
    Robert Rossen (1908–1966)

It is a happy thing that there is no royal road to poetry. The world should know by this time that one cannot reach Parnassus except by flying thither.
    Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844–1889)
