FK Sloga Doboj - Supporters

Supporters

The supporters of FK Sloga are known as "Vojvode" ("The Dukes") and the group was formed in the early 1980s. The core hooligan group used to be 50-100 strong in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The reorganization of many smaller groups into a single coherent organisation took place in 1990 and this is the year Vojvode take as their starting point today. Nowadays Vojvode are known as "Vojvode 1990" and they have several hundred members organized into various subgroups throughout the city proper, most important ones named Young Dukes, East Family, Central Ghetto, Vikinzi (The Vikings), Teror Pijeskovi, Lamela Corps and Urban Boys From Park (U.B.F.P) . Just like most other Southern European firms they use lots of pyrotechnics, chanting, visual and audio supporting material (scarves, flags, drums) and commonly start fights with the rival groups. They are the strongest and most organized hooligan group in Northern Bosnia at this time.

Famous quotes containing the word supporters:

The hydra of corruption is only scotched, not dead. An investigation kills and it and its supporters dead. Let this be had.
    Andrew Jackson (1767–1845)

No Government can be long secure without a formidable Opposition. It reduces their supporters to that tractable number which can be managed by the joint influences of fruition and hope. It offers vengeance to the discontented, and distinction to the ambitious; and employs the energies of aspiring spirits, who otherwise may prove traitors in a division or assassins in a debate.
    Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881)
