First Howard Ministry

The First Howard Ministry (Liberal–National Coalition) was the 61st ministry of the Government of Australia, and was led by Prime Minister John Howard. It succeeded the Second Keating Ministry upon its swearing in by Governor-General Sir William Deane on 11 March 1996 after the 1996 election, and was replaced by the Second Howard Ministry on 21 October 1998 following the 1998 election.
