Scottish Brigades (1975-2013)
Between 1975 and 2013, Scottish brigades areas were broadly based on the system of local government regions in use from 1975 to 1996. The eight fire and rescue services across Scotland will be amalgamated into a single, new Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on 1 April 2013. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will have its headquarters in Perth.
The Fire and Rescue Services are the workforces employed by the Fire and Rescue Authorities and (pre-2013) Joint Boards.
