- The Bristol Academy of Sport is based at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
- Filton Cycling Speedway Club was formed in January 2006. The club uses a cycle track built by the Filton Town Council and recognised to be one of the best in the country, particularly with its setting in Elm Park.
