FFSA State League

The FFSA State League is now the second tier state-level football (soccer) competition in South Australia. It is conducted by the Football Federation of South Australia (FFSA), the state's governing body. Each season, the top two clubs are promoted to the Premier League while the bottom two sides in the Premier League are relegated to the State League. Prior to the 2006 season, this was the second-highest level competition in South Australia. In 2008 West Adelaide SC and SASI have been admitted and will increase the number of teams to 10 in the State League. After the reforming of the South Australian football league structure in 2012, the league increased its participants from 10 clubs to 16.

Famous quotes containing the words state and/or league:

Men cannot conceive of a state of things so fair that it cannot be realized.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Stereotypes fall in the face of humanity. You toodle along, thinking that all gay men wear leather after dark and should never, ever be permitted around a Little League field. And then one day your best friend from college, the one your kids adore, comes out to you.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)
