Geographical Indication
Recently cashew fenny got its GI registration as a specialty alcoholic beverage from Goa, under the name "feni", and described as a colourless clear liquid when matured in wooden barrels getting golden brown tint. This designation was achieved through the efforts of the Goa Cashew Feni Distillers & Bottlers Association and Department of Science, Technology & Environment, Government of Goa.
