Femina is an award winning women's magazine owned by Femina Group and the first women’s publication in Indonesia. It was first published in September 1972 by Mirta Kartohadiprodjo in her family's garage with the help of her friends Widarti Gunawan and Atika Makarim. As the first women's magazine at that time, Femina was published to accommodate the inspiration of Indonesian and optimize their potential, without losing their self identity. In its early years, Femina was recognized as the platform for Indonesian women novelists, the latest fashion trends and a reference for household recipes.
