Famous quotes containing the words title and/or viii:

In Goya’s greatest scenes we seem to see
    the people of the world
    exactly at the moment when
they first attained the title of
    ‘suffering humanity’
    Lawrence Ferlinghetti (b. 1919)

Some be too stiff in their old mumpsimus, others be too busy and curious in their new sumpsimus. Thus all men almost be in variety and discord.
    —Henry VIII (1491–1547)
