Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition

Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition (餓狼伝説 ワイルドアンビション?) is a 3D fighting video game produced by SNK. The game was released in Japanese arcades on January 28, 1999, though the title screen shows the year 1998. It is part of the Fatal Fury series of fighting games. It was one of the last games released for the Hyper Neo Geo 64 system board. It was ported to the Sony PlayStation on June 24, 1999 in Japan and December 11, 1999 in North America. The game was re-released as a downloadable game for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable via PlayStation Network in Japan on April 25, 2007.

The game re-tells the story of the original Fatal Fury video game. It introduces Toji Sakata and Tsugumi Sendo to the series, and places Mai Shiranui, Kim Kaphwan, and Li Xiangfei as participants of the original King of Fighters tournament. Ryuji Yamazaki also appears as a mid-boss character. Ryo Sakazaki makes an appearance as Mr. Karate, tying the events of Art of Fighting 2 to this game.

Famous quotes containing the words fatal, wild and/or ambition:

Any defeat, however trivial, may be fatal to a savior of the plain people. They never admire a messiah with a bloody nose.
    —H.L. (Henry Lewis)

Man makes very much such a nest for his domestic animals, of withered grass and fodder, as the squirrels and many other wild creatures do for themselves.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

I made him a low curtsy and thanked him for the honor he intended me, but told him I had no kind of ambition to be his upper servant.... I then asked him how many offices he had allotted for me to perform for those great advantages he had offered me, of suffering me to humor him in all his whims and to receive meat, drink, and lodging at his hands; but hoped he would allow me some small wages, that I might now and then recreate myself with my fellow servants.
    Sarah Fielding (1710–1768)
