Fast Train

Fast Train

"Fast Train" is the first single by the Canadian rock band April Wine, from their 1971 self-titled debut album (See 1971 in music). The song was a top 40 hit in Canada, peaking at #38 on the RPM 100 Singles Chart, Canada's then only national singles chart which measured hit singles across Canada. It also peaked at #23 on the Canadian CHUM singles chart, a Top 40 chart that measured hit singles in the Toronto area, on June 26 that year. It was the success of this single that first established Myles Goodwyn as the band's main songwriter, and made it possible for April Wine to record a second album.

"Fast Train" appears on the movie soundtrack for Natural Enemy (1997), a film starring Donald Sutherland and William McNamara.

Famous quotes containing the words fast and/or train:

Any time you take a chance you better be sure the rewards are worth the risk because they can put you away just as fast for a ten dollar heist as they can for a million dollar job.
    Stanley Kubrick (b. 1928)

Everything one does in life, even love, occurs in an express train racing toward death. To smoke opium is to get out of the train while it is still moving. It is to concern oneself with something other than life or death.
    Jean Cocteau (1889–1963)
