Union
The United College Employees of Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY (UCE-FIT) is a wall-to-wall union of faculty and staff that was formed in 1967 to win one of the first public higher education union contracts in New York State. Since that time the Union has continued to define and protect the rights of its members.

Famous quotes containing the word union:
“My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.”
—Abraham Lincoln (18091865)
“The rage for road building is beneficent for America, where vast distance is so main a consideration in our domestic politics and trade, inasmuch as the great political promise of the invention is to hold the Union staunch, whose days already seem numbered by the mere inconvenience of transporting representatives, judges and officers across such tedious distances of land and water.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“The union of hands and hearts.”
—Jeremy Taylor (16131667)
