Fanny Allen - Legacy

Legacy

The Fanny Allen Hospital in Colchester, Vermont, built in 1879 and run by her order, the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph, was named in her honor. This hospital, now named Fletcher Allen, merged in 1995 with another hospital and was rebuilt as the primary care center in western Vermont. Near the campus of this merged hospital there is still a cemetery which retains the Fanny Allen name.
