Face hallucination is super-resolution of face images, or clarifying the details of a face from a low-resolution image. The technique of sparse coding can be used. Because of the importance of face images in facial recognition systems and other applications, face hallucination has become an area of research.
Famous quotes containing the word face:
“If we pretend to respect the artist at all, we must allow him his freedom of choice, in the face, in particular cases, of innumerable presumptions that the choice will not fructify. Art derives a considerable part of its beneficial exercise from flying in the face of presumptions.”
—Henry James (1843–1916)
