Famous quotes containing the word matter:
“With no matter what human being, taken individually, I always find reasons for concluding that sorrow and misfortune do not suit him; either because he seems too mediocre for anything so great, or, on the contrary, too precious to be destroyed.”
—Simone Weil (1909–1943)
“The universe may or may not be very immense.
As a matter of fact there are times when I am apt
To feel it close in tight against my sense
Like a caul in which I was born and still am wrapped.”
—Robert Frost (1874–1963)
“psychologist
Ultimately it’s all a matter of style. What it comes down to is this: Do you spell Jennifer with a J or G? That’s a class division. As a populist, I’m all for G.”
—Gore Vidal (b. 1925)
