F. Hiner Dale

Judge F. Hiner Dale was a prominent state court trial judge in western Oklahoma. He had received his law degree from the University of Missouri in 1906 and died in 1966. A native of Missouri, he settled in Guymon, in the panhandle of Oklahoma. He was an Oklahoma District Court judge for the center of the Dustbowl during the Great Depression. In that role, he worked vigorously to help maintain local farms and ranches.

Author of three books, A History of the Michael Reasor and Allied families and A History of Pittenger family in America Both books are about genealogy, his second book is about his Father's Mother's and Wife's people. In 1961 he published his autobiography, ""An Oklahoma Lawyer" which remains in the Library Of Congress catalogue in Washington, DC.

The law firm of Wright, Dale Jett was founded by the late Judge F. Hiner Dale in January 1907.

Judge Dale is in Ripley's Believe It Or Not for a case in which he was the presiding judge, a daughter was the defense attorney, and a son was the prosecutor. The daughter defended successfully.
