Extraterrestrial Life in Culture

In popular cultures, "Extraterrestrials" are life forms — especially intelligent life forms— that are of extraterrestrial origin (often also called "aliens").

Famous quotes containing the words life and/or culture:

    —No, no thou hast not felt the lapse of hours!
    For what wears out the life of mortal men?
    ‘Tis that from change to change their being rolls;
    ‘Tis that repeated shocks, again, again,
    Exhaust the energy of strongest souls
    And numb the elastic powers.
    Matthew Arnold (1822–1888)

    Asia is rich in people, rich in culture and rich in resources. It is also rich in trouble.
    Hubert H. Humphrey (1911–1978)
