Early Success
Since their first appearance on the compilation discography Ghetto Youth Progresss in 1994, four members of Expression Direkt have continued to talk. Known for its sincerity and radicalism, which earned them a reputation as 'scum', Express D imposes itself as a leading group with their first title "Mon esprit part en couille", one of the first songs authentically 'scum-like' the history of French rap, and which today is a classic. This title appealed to Mathieu Kassovitz, who integrated their music to the film 'La Haine'. For the compilation inspired by the film they signed "Dealer pour survivre" another classic. They assisted the director in the promotional tour of the film festival of Cannes and television sets (Nulle Part Ailleurs, Le Cercle de minuit...).

Famous quotes containing the words early success, early and/or success:
“We are living now, not in the delicious intoxication induced by the early successes of science, but in a rather grisly morning-after, when it has become apparent that what triumphant science has done hitherto is to improve the means for achieving unimproved or actually deteriorated ends.”
—Aldous Huxley (18941963)
“We have been told over and over about the importance of bonding to our children. Rarely do we hear about the skill of letting go, or, as one parent said, that we raise our children to leave us. Early childhood, as our kids gain skills and eagerly want some distance from us, is a time to build a kind of adult-child balance which permits both of us room.”
—Joan Sheingold Ditzion (20th century)
“Fathers and mothers have lost the idea that the highest aspiration they might have for their children is for them to be wise ... specialized competence and success are all that they can imagine.”
—Allan Bloom (19301992)
