Exploring Music is in many ways the heir to the late Karl Haas' popular long-running show, Adventures in Good Music, expanded and updated for a 21st-century audience.

As of 2008, Exploring Music airs on over 40 U.S. radio stations and has well over 500,000 listeners. In Australia, Exploring Music airs on 3MBS at 9 AM, and on 4MBS at 7 PM. The show is also listenable worldwide via live-streaming audio and, as of 2013, via on-demand streaming of all its past shows.

Famous quotes containing the words exploring and/or music:

I esteem it the happiness of this country that its settlers, whilst they were exploring their granted and natural rights and determining the power of the magistrate, were united by personal affection. Members of a church before whose searching covenant all rank was abolished, they stood in awe of each other, as religious men.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

This music crept by me upon the waters,
Allaying both their fury and my passion
With its sweet air; thence have I followed it,
Or it hath drawn me rather.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
