Tutors and Teaching
The pupil to teacher ratio is around 11:1 which is very low by general school standards. Class sizes start at around twenty to twenty-five in the first year and are often below ten in the Sixth Form year. An average English or Maths class in GCSE years would have about 17 pupils in it.

Famous quotes containing the word teaching:
“This teaching is not practical in the sense in which the New Testament is. It is not always sound sense in practice. The Brahman never proposes courageously to assault evil, but patiently to starve it out. His active faculties are paralyzed by the idea of caste, of impassable limits of destiny and the tyranny of time.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
