Partnership With ReD
In 2012, eWAY entered into an agreement with ReD (Retail Decisions) in order to provide Beagle Alerts, a fraud-prevention tool for merchants.
Beagle Alerts automatically checks each transaction against a global database of card activity to look for suspicious traits (such as the use of multiple billing addresses with a single card). Depending on the merchant’s settings, high-risk transactions are denied, and moderate-risk transactions are “challenged”. Challenged transactions can be suspended until the merchant decides to process them or preauthorised until the merchant finalises them (online or via eWAY’s iPhone/iPad app).
