Everybody Got Their Something

Everybody Got Their Something was Nikka Costa's first album on Virgin Records, released on May 22, 2001. Although she had released numerous albums internationally, this was her first release in the United States. It peaked at #120 on the Billboard 200.

The first single "Like A Feather" was Costa's biggest hit and was used in Tommy Hilfiger's advertising campaigns. The title track "Everybody Got Their Something" was used in the pilot of the television series Arrested Development, as well as the pilot of "Drop Dead Diva," the movies Blue Crush and All About Steve, an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Nip/Tuck, and was used in promos for ABC Daytime.

The song "Push & Pull" was featured in the movie Blow starring Johnny Depp, and the video was on the film's DVD release. Prince covered "Push & Pull" on his direct-to-DVD concert Live at the Aladdin Las Vegas with the help of Costa. The track "So Have I For You" (co. written by the Beastie Boys) was used in the 2002 Britney Spears movie Crossroads.

Famous quotes containing the words their and/or something:

The cutting of heads is become so much a la mode, that one is apt to feel of a morning whether their own is on their shoulders.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

    It is the light
At the end of the tunnel as it might be seen
By him looking out somberly at the shower,
The picture of hope a dying man might turn away from,
Realizing that hope is something else, something concrete
    You can’t have.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)
