Athletics
Evangel's football team has won over a dozen state championships since 1993. In a recent book cataloging the top twelve dynasties of high school football, Evangel was given a prominent place.
Evangel also has a baseball, basketball and softball team. The Lady Eagles softball and basketball teams compete for the state title and the baseball team. Evangel also fields tennis, golf, volleyball, wrestling, track and basketball teams at the middle/high school level and football, basketball, baseball and softball teams for most grades K - 6th.
As of January 2009, The Shreveport Country Club is the training ground and tournament facility for the Evangel golf and tennis teams and the future Evangel swim teams.
