Eurovision Dance Contest - Winners/host City

Winners/host City

The contest differs from the Eurovision Song contest in that the winning country does not automatically become host for the next contest. The Eurovision Dance Contest follows the same selection process as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Famous quotes containing the words winners, host and/or city:

The two real political parties in America are the Winners and the Losers. The people don’t acknowledge this. They claim membership in two imaginary parties, the Republicans and the Democrats, instead.
    Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. (b. 1922)

Thrust, my daughter or son, to escape, there is none, none, none,
Nor when all ponderous heaven’s host of waters breaks.
    Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)

San Francisco is where gay fantasies come true, and the problem the city presents is whether, after all, we wanted these particular dreams to be fulfilled—or would we have preferred others? Did we know what price these dreams would exact? Did we anticipate the ways in which, vivid and continuous, they would unsuit us for the business of daily life? Or should our notion of daily life itself be transformed?
    Edmund White (b. 1940)
