Famous quotes containing the word rules:
“Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence: in other words it is war minus the shooting.
”
—George Orwell (19031950)
“Unfortunately, we cannot rely solely on employers seeing that it is in their self-interest to change the workplace. —Anne C. Weisberg (20th century)
“Today the tyrant rules not by club or fist, but, disguised as a market researcher, he shepherds his flocks in the ways of utility and comfort.”
—Marshall McLuhan (19111980)
