European Commission Roaming Regulations - Members

Members

Currently roaming regulation is applied to and within 30 countries: all 27 EU members and three non-EU members (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). The EU countries apply the roaming regulation since 30 August 2007 while the non-EU countries apply the regulation since 1 January 2008.

Switzerland is not included, even if this country has agreements with EU similar to EEA on several fields, but not on this one. Charges are considerably higher for EU residents roaming in Switzerland, and for Swiss residents in the EU, especially on internet data, which vary, but are often around €3/MB (2012). The coming member Croatia have higher rates than Switzerland.

Famous quotes containing the word members:

Religion is the centre which unites, and the cement which connects the several parts of members of the political body.
    George Berkeley (1685–1753)

I believe that the members of my family must be as free from suspicion as from actual crime.
Julius Caesar [Gaius Julius Caesar] (100–44 B.C.)

The members of a body-politic call it “the state” when it is passive, “the sovereign” when it is active, and a “power” when they compare it with others of its kind. Collectively they use the title “people,” and they refer to one another individually as “citizens” when speaking of their participation in the authority of the sovereign, and as “subjects” when speaking of their subordination to the laws of the state.
    Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778)
