Euro Basket 2001

The EuroBasket 2001 was the 32nd EuroBasket, the biennial regional basketball championship contested by European nations and held by FIBA Europe. The tournament, which was hosted by Turkey, began on 31 August 2001 and concluded with the final on 9 September 2001. FR Yugoslavia won the gold medal, hosts Turkey won the silver while Spain won the bronze. Yugoslavia's Predrag Stojaković was named the tournament MVP. The all-tournament team included Marko Jarić and Predrag Stojaković, Turkey's İbrahim Kutluay, Germany's Dirk Nowitzki and Spain's Pau Gasol.

In the final game of the tournament, FR Yugoslavia defeated Turkey 78–69. Vlado Šćepanović scored 19, Dejan Bodiroga had 18 and Stojaković had 15 points while İbrahim Kutluay scored 19 for Turkey.
