Eugene Francis McGurl was a first lieutenant of the 95th Bombardment Squadron (Medium) in the United States Air Force during World War II.

McGurl was a 1934 graduate of Arlington High School (Arlington, Massachusetts). McGurl attended three years of college before enlisting on 11 February 1941 at Boston, Massachusetts. McGurl completed navigation training and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant, 6 December 1941, the day before the Pearl Harbor attack.
