EU Forest Watch

EU Forest Watch is a forest issues newsletter focusing on the European Union. The newsletter is published monthly since 1996 by FERN, and often includes related briefing notes. Subscriptions to EU Forest Watch are over 1,000 and website visitors extend 40,000 per month.

The newsletter is appreciated from its "very good and, politically speaking, really accurate analysis" (FERN review, 2003). "Thanks for your excellent newsletter. Please keep them coming." The Guardian, 2003

Issues from 2000 are available as a free (PDF or HTML) download from FERN website. It is also possible to subscribe free to the print and forest-friendly email editions through the website.

Famous quotes containing the words forest and/or watch:

Our democracy, our culture, our whole way of life is a spectacular triumph of the blah. Why not have a political convention without politics to nominate a leader who’s out in front of nobody?... Maybe our national mindlessness is the very thing that keeps us from turning into one of those smelly European countries full of pseudo-reds and crypto-fascists and greens who dress like forest elves.
    —P.J. (Patrick Jake)

A President must call on many persons—some to man the ramparts and to watch the far away, distant posts; others to lead us in science, medicine, education and social progress here at home.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)
