Tragedy
Brian Head, 15, shot and killed himself in March 1994 during his high-school economics class. Head had been a longtime target for bullies because of his weight and thick glasses. His father, Bill, subsequently successfully lobbied for a law that criminalized bullying and required schools to alert parents of bullied children.
