Estreito Da Calheta

Estreito da Calheta (Portuguese for strait of Calheta) is a civil parish in the municipality of Calheta in the archipelago of Madeira, Portugal. The population in 2001 was 1,630, in an area 13.4 km² (density was 113.8/km²).

It is connected with a road linking Calheta and Funchal. The Atlantic Ocean is to the south and the mountains are to the northeast. The main industry are agriculture, fishing with some businesses.

Estreito da Calheta has a school, a lyceum, and a square (praça).
