Ernest George Mardon (born 1928) is a retired English professor who worked at the University of Lethbridge. He has several dozen books, mostly on the history of Alberta, Canada.
He served in the Middle East in the British Army as an officer. He was a founding member of the Antarctic Institute of Canada in 1985. He is a scholar also in the area of Anglo-Saxon studies. In 2006 he was nominated for full membership in the International Astronomical Union. He currently lives in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
Mardon's children include the Antarctican Austin Mardon.
