Erkin's music is not merely in the traditional styles, but free and surpasses its ethnic roots. Using Flamenco, he has created a new music to the traditional one, making his work more modern and international. Some different from the concept most people have of traditional Uyghur music, his music has a distinct, international flare.Therefore, his music is a "mixture" of Uyghur, Turkish, Russian, Spanish and Chinese, as well as rock, jazz and hip-hop styles, which may be caused by his birthplace which is the centre of Eurasia, or the silk road.
