Ramsey has not been seen or heard from publicly in over a decade. Auburn replaced Dye with Samford University coach Terry Bowden. They also recovered quite well, going unbeaten in their first twenty games of Bowden's tenure before tying Georgia on November 11, 1994. The following week, their unbeaten string came to an end in the Iron Bowl as Alabama prevailed, 21-14.
