Current Organization and Events
The Episcopal Academy today claims to have a 100% four-year college matriculation rate, numerous athletics teams, and a chapel program that meets every other day during the school year. The Academy's motto is "mind, body, and spirit" and it strives to enrich these three sectors in every student's life. The school instituted a new mission statement in 2010. The new mission statement is: "Challenging and nurturing Mind, Body, and Spirit, we inspire boys and girls to lead lives of purpose, faith, and intergrity." Character education is at the core of Episcopal's program and is based on the school's 10 Stripes, or virtues. These are: faith, honesty, self-control, courtesy, kindness, generosity, gratitude, courage, respect, and sportsmanship.

Famous quotes containing the words current, organization and/or events:
“I is a militant social tendency, working to hold and enlarge its place in the general current of tendencies. So far as it can it waxes, as all life does. To think of it as apart from society is a palpable absurdity of which no one could be guilty who really saw it as a fact of life.”
—Charles Horton Cooley (18641929)
“The Red Cross in its nature, it aims and purposes, and consequently, its methods, is unlike any other organization in the country. It is an organization of physical action, of instantaneous action, at the spur of the moment; it cannot await the ordinary deliberation of organized bodies if it would be of use to suffering humanity, ... [ellipsis in original] it has by its nature a field of its own.”
—Clara Barton (18211912)
“If I have renounced the search of truth, if I have come into the port of some pretending dogmatism, some new church, some Schelling or Cousin, I have died to all use of these new events that are born out of prolific time into multitude of life every hour. I am as bankrupt to whom brilliant opportunities offer in vain. He has just foreclosed his freedom, tied his hands, locked himself up and given the key to another to keep.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
