In 1999 they acquired Clientele, Inc. and are now selling their Clientele CRM package. Epicor linked Clientele with Platinum for Windows to give a front office/back office solution. In 2001, Epicor split the two and sold PFW to Best Software, who was eventually acquired by Sage Software.

Clientele is a CRM solution that offers customizable Sales and Customer Support modules.

In 2011 Apax Partners purchased both Activant and Epicor and merged the organizations together. Pervez Qureshi, prior CEO of Activant, became CEO of the new Epicor in May, 2011. Pervez brings more than 20 years of management experience to his role as President and CEO of Epicor.
